Welcome to the Furneaux Family Web Site. The aim of the site is to collect information about Furneauxs both present and past and to create a large family tree. The current information is available in the form of an on-line tree which will enable you to trace your ancestral line back to Norman England. Go to Family Tree [Search] to begin. If there is no menu bar to the left or title bar above please re-enter using Furneaux-family.com

The biggest lack of knowledge we have is the current generations of Furneauxs worldwide. If you have established a link to the main tree please submit the details with names, dates and geographical locations. If you haven't established a link then I would still like to hear from you as any information is useful information.

There is now a searchable database of 1881 Census and IGI derived data. Go to Database Search to begin.

Frederica Furneaux - An Email from Nick Boles

Dear David Furneaux

Greetings from London.

The Frederica Furneaux in your 1881 Census database (living with mother
Sarah) is better known as Marie de Fearneaux (note strange spelling). See
brief details at:

http://digitalgallery.nypl.org/nypldigital/dgkeysearchresult.cfm?parent_id=582636&word=

She was arrested in 1882 and sentenced to seven years for obtaining money
under false pretences, by variously pretending to be Lord Arthur Clinton or
Lord Lanesborough.

Have you ever come across the case, or her family?

Regards

Nick Boles ncbprivate-furneaux@yahoo.co.uk
